The spring months can be a whirlwind for both students and parents, but with a little support and organization, you can help your student stay on track.

1. Encourage Balance:

  • While it’s important to stay focused on schoolwork, encourage your student to take breaks and focus on self-care. Help them balance the stress of college applications with downtime to relax and recharge.

2. Help with Financial Decisions:

  • As seniors start to receive financial aid packages, help your student compare offers and make decisions. Encourage them to reach out to admissions offices if they need clarification on financial aid options or costs.

3. Discuss Future Plans:

  • If your student is a junior, have an open conversation about what they want in a college. What are their academic interests, and where do they want to be located? Discussing these preferences early can help narrow down the college search.
